Sony has said today that their PSP, PS3 Minis have reached one million downloads. The Minis are low-priced games available via the PlayStation Network on either the home console or the handheld. Because tetris is built into just about every phone on earth; even non-smartphones come with a tetris clone half the time.

Considering there have been over 3 billion iOS app downloads in that same time period, it does sound rather pathetic doesn't it?

Iphone - phone first turned into a hand-held device with a descent sized screen and touch pad with even corporations like Capcom making games for it. *Not to say that they are good, obviously there is better applications/games than shit from Capcom*. Surpassed unintentionally what the Nokia N-gage tried to do.

PSP - As far as I know, not a phone and Mini's usually developed by developers approved by Sony. Again as far as I know developing applications for PSP be it gaming or otherwise hasn't been done from someone's basement meaning Apple gets the majority of talent on their networks as they pushed this idea first.

Conclusion; Sony doing too little too late to gain a piece of Apple pie, yes it is pathetic; bring out PSP2 and if smart make it a phone that works. For most people on the go, if they had to take more than one device it gets heavy and isn't practical; Iphone is the logical choice as you can make calls if need be and it does well as a gaming machine/organizer.
