According to Google CFO Patrick Pichetter, the search giant had to spend about $100 million to defend itself from Viacom's $1 billion copyright lawsuit against video giant YouTube. It is unfortunate, but that is how corporations work. The whole point of this lawsuit was to waist the time and money of google. Meanwhile, Viacom is stealing media from google and posting it on their own sites...so we might see the mirror of this lawsuit sometime soon.
