Alright, i've had this site as a bookmark for quite sometime now, and i finally wanna start learning how to rip dvds. I've tried downloading the programs, but i don't know which one is the best, and they are pretty darn confusing. So if someone could please give me a few beginner tips it would be appreciated, thanks.

I think that our article section gives you a good start for making VCDs and DivXs (don't use the 4:3 DivX guide, it's somewhat out-dated, the Dub filters are in incorrect order and cause issues). Check here:
