What make/model burner are you using? Alcohol is known to be very good at defeating SafeDisc.

You made a successful backup? What brand name dvd\cd-burner did you use? As a test, uninstall Alcohol 120%>reboot then try and play your backup and see what happens. I'm under the assumption Safedisc 3.2 can't be backed up at the moment...

I made a playable Back up with Alcohol 120 %( and my NEC 2500a DVD Drive), the secret is to disable the virtual drive as the copy protection looks for any Virtual drive and will not allow you to play your back up CD.

Did you uninstall Alcohol 120%>reboot and does your backup work? If so in a dvd-rom? Your NEC? Just curious m8.

In order to determine if you have a "true" 1:1 backup you need to uninstall Alcohol 120%>reboot and play the backup in a dvd-rom or a dvd\cd-burner with any "hide ATIP" tool m8.

This is frustrating me, when I try to play with my backup the cd starts turning and it keeps turning forever and the game never starts. If I let Daemon Tools open it says that I am running An emulation software so I close it.. I think my copy may not be well done. Can you please help me do a good copy of the 3.20.022 Safedisk? Can my TDK CDRW401248B Do it?
Is there a list of what drives can? thanks for your answer..

Shoey's list is a great one!

I just backed up Far Cry CD version, SafeDisc 3.15 using my LTD-166S to read, Plex Permium to write and BlindWrite 5 to do the magic. The copy installs and runs on my PC as well as two others using DVD ROMS to play. I also made a working backup with the same method except using my PX-708A to write :)

Neph,
Reports at other forums I visit confirm the Plex Premium can easily defeat Safedisc 3.2 (cd version). BTW, nice hardware m8!

Do you have any idea of the average price of these drives and are they the only ones that will make 1:1 of safedisk v.3.20.022? Isn't there a drive that can both read and write instead of having 2? Thanks for you answers once again...

I'm part of the Plextor "advertising team" Praetor. For every Plex drive that I recommend and one sells, I get 3%! Laughing all the way to the bank.... Is that why Plex drives are soo darn expensive???
