I've just created my first SVCD using the DVD to VCD with SmartRipper, DVD2AVI and TMPGEnc guide. Everything went fine and the quality is very good. The only problem is that the sound is slightly out of sync with the video when i play it in my DVD player (Toshiba SD-220EB) if I play the mpg files in PowerDVD they are fine.
Is this just my DVD player or could I encode it differently to get it to work
An out of sync problem is also usually the product of a vbr underflow/overflow in audio/video.
You can avoid these by ending all programs except the progs you're using for encoding. Make sure that you definelty end file sharing apps and hardware temperature monitors!!!
I would have to say not, I think Dela was referring to software based temperature monitors.. the kind that hard corps CPU overclockers use to make sure they don't fry their proc's when testing a 1.4ghz processor at 1.7ghz, etc..
sorry new to this thanks vcdjunkie. I have another question, Audio synch problems relate normally to the fact that some people split files by using regular frames as their cutpoints, not keyframes. where do you adjust keyframes?
