Twitter hits 20 billion tweets

A Twitter user in Tokyo has posted the 20 billionth tweet in the history of the micro-blogging site, four years after the service launched.
The popularity of the service has grown exponentially over the past year, with the 10 billion mark being hit just five months ago.
15 million was hit in June, riding the heels of the World Cup tournament's huge popularity.

Facecrap I did use, regret using, despite closing to the point I can no longer access the account or recover it, people can still see my account; its been spammed out to I dunno how many companies, and out of those at least half try to make trojans or other malware out of it my id to trick people. I really wish facebook would just shut down; its insecurity is a failure to programming everywhere, but since this article is about twitter; I can't really say much about it, I just don't need it to get my information or pass any through twitter.
