Matshita DVD/DCRW plays DVD's but not audio or data

Hi (first time user so appologies)

I have a Matshita UJDA720 DVD/CDRW, it will play a DVD but will not display any information on data or audio CD's in explorer.

Originally I had Roxio installed but once this stoped working I uninstalled. I then uninstalled and reinstalled the Matshita driver.

Device Manager shows this device as working.

I have tried Nero but this does not work either.

I am using XP Home Edition.
