I've been using Musicmatch jukebox for some time now & have ran into a small problem. Im trying to rip Anthony Hamilton cd to my pc but it has some technology that causes it to rip with static. I remember reading somewhere that if you hald a certain key down or do something extra that it will let you rip the cd. Any advise would help.

It might be audio cd protected m8. Use EAC and try all drives and extract. Keep in mind this may take some time if there is some audio cd protection on the cd. Use A-Ray Scanner and scan the cd to determine if there is any audio cd protection. (Key2Audio, Cactus Data Shield, DocLock).

Actually I did something even easier than that. Using MusicMatch for ripping I held down the shift key before I inserted the disc as well as the 7-8 min it took to rip, & it ripped correctly w/o the static. I think this is a new strategy to prevent people from making mp3's from cds that can be uploaded online. Thx anyway everybody.

lol even with protection, I was surprised to see that MusicMatch was able to power through some of them (naturally they are quite hardware dependent but that wasnt really a problem for me). A couple minor speed tweaks (really wierd ones at times) and one can do a perfect rip of CDS200 no sweat.
If you enjoy ripping CD then this is in my opinion the best application available DbPowerAmp. It will rip to wav, mp3, and wma on the fly. Best of all it uses the Lame codec. DbPowerAmp is free and without any spyware extras. Get it here! http://www.dbpoweramp.com/
