Over the past few months, the Chinese Ministry of Culture has identified 185 sites that infringe on copyrights, adding that the sites violate regulations and do not have licenses to distribute music. Since April, 23 of those sites have shut down, and the Ministry is still actively investigating the others. i'm pretty sure it does very well creatively using other peoples designs (hiphone anyone?)

Chine is a production not service industry. I don't believe it can compete with design centric countries like Germany and the UK.

nor do i think it wants to. It does of course want to look like it's not officially approving of plagiarism though...

IFPI does not support communism; only Fascism. Good thing, because the Chinese are not communists; they are Fascist Capitalists.
