Verizon Wireless has finally, officially launched the Motorola Droid 2, although weeks of leaks have already shown customers the price, specs and release date. "Additionally, the Droid 2 is silver-on-blue, includes Android 2.2 Froyo, and has a new Motorola "skin" just like the Droid X."

That can't be right...Verizon is blocking 2.2 on every other device because they don't like the free tethering or the bandwidth used by Flash...why would they allow this device to have 2.2?

Nevermind...Verizon just started the OTA 2.2 updates that so many have been waiting for. I guess they finally got over the fact that it would make their customers happy (Verizon tries to avoid making happy customers whenever possible).
