Guys

Fairly new to all this and have been through all the forums. Have downloaded what I think I need so just after some verification

I have some avi files that my digital camera has taken of my newborn son. Like to burn them onto CD's as I have a CD-RW, and use those CD's in DVD players, including the PS2 we have and watch DVD's on currently

I understand this is possible if I use TmpnGEC to encode the avi file into MPEG-2 format and then use Nero to burn that as an SVCD onto a CD. However Im a bit confused between PAL and NTSC. If the avi is an NTSC format and thats the setting I use to encode will that still work on DVD's in the UK? Only because I thought we were PAL format? Im guessing it doesnt matter as the SVCD format Nero burns onto the CD from the MPEG is standard but I just want to make sure !

Am I on the right lines here? Will the CD's then play in my parents/in-laws DVD players and also my PS2?
