Amazon is in quiet talks with the major media companies in an effort to start a subscription TV and movie service.
The service would offer unlimited views of older TV episodes and movies online.
Amazon has spoken with Viacom, Time Warner and Sony already.

Please Amazon, PLEASE...just replace the cable company already! They charge $100 for less service that Fios charges $40 for, and they are a monopoly...even if you charge $50 a month, I still come out ahead.
Honestly they should stick to what they know. However should they do it, more power to em; cable companies have long been milking that market with the gov't clapping in approval. The only time my TV goes on cable, is for my kids to watch kids shows, and that's maybe for 2 hours a day, then its off the rest.. I pay an outstanding bill just to make my kids smile, sad.

I hear your woes. I only watch Sports and maybe a few select shows like Big Bang Theory but not much else. I watch my old tv shows on DVD more than i watch cable. So i'm paying all this money for very little watching.
