Problems capturing NTSC video on pal VCR

I am tring to capture NTSC video with a Pal VCR. When i capture the video with Video vegas the output comes out in black and white. I am capturing with the Canopus Acedvio and the VCR plays the NTSC tapes on a pal TV in colour so i'm wondering does anyone know why its coming out in B&W on my PC.

Are you trying to capture the NTSC Tapes as NTSC or as PAL....Because if you are Captureing the NTSC Tapes as NTSC then that Might be the Problem because the VCR could be converting the NTSC to PAL so it can Play the Tapes on a PAL TV Set....
The Black and White effect is exactly what happens when you Try to capture or Play NTSC source material as PAL or Visa versa.....Cheers
