Has anyone else noticed this - Any information on Why this is occuring ?

There are usually 3-4 million Users on
KAZAA when I'm logged in.
A few days ago it seemed to drop dramatically to a few hundred thousand *

Thanks in advance for any information ~

I for one started using kazaalite which is basically Kazaa without the spyware crap. Maybe alot of other people have caught on and as a result are no longer a part of kazaa's users.

Thanks for the reply guys ~

I do believe that KAZAA and KAZAA-LITE users
share files between the two programs.
I often see users simply entitled (kazaaliteuser@kazaa.com) sharing files from Me ~

As for the small amount of users ONLINE,
It seems to have returned to normal at My end.

Please post any more info that You guys find.

Thanks Again,

_ MIKE _

Mike, that happens a lot.

The trick is to search for something popular (like a massivly downloaded song!!). when you find results click find more a few times. Download the song if you like it doesnt matter but leave kazaa online for as long as it takes! It will rise up millions and won't (well mine hasn't) dropped since!

Thanks Dela, I believe that's how it became
'fixed' for Me also ~

After about an hour of searching songs - I noticed that the 'Users Online' list had returned to 4,000,000 instead of a few hundred thousand.

Thanks Again to everyone for their input *

It's very shitty!!! I used Grockster and I downloaded Kazaa, hoping there was some bug with Grockster only, but it wasn't. The amount of user can reach 4 million and also drop down to 300 000 users. This not only causes file availability limitations, but also slow down the downloads speed, as well as many downloads go suddenly remotely queued or worse, more sources needed for download. I tried the "find more" tip and did not change anything at all. Is it the end or this wonderful thing called P2P file sharing??? I hope not, we can't live without it!!!

i am not sure how many users were on last night, oct,14,02, but i was able to get a huge file @ 125 kbps give or take a few here and there, but now today it seems like there are only 250,000 users online. wtf? did everyone get a virus? dont know. i know i did two weeks ago, but it was my fault. any how who cares.Do you think it could be due to virus? i tell you what, i am not downloading another damn thing untill i see that many people back on line again. if any one has any friggin' ideas let us know. i need files. but 250 THOUSAND compared to at least 3.5 MILLION users, there is for sure something else going on here. a 71.5% decrease in users is mega huge.
peace all kazaa users!

You can be damn sure that this aint the end of kazaa (or p2p). It's just a bug! and will more than likely be fixed in future releases!

I never had this problem with kazaa 1.7, it seems to be a 2.0 problem! However, give kazaa a chance, having 4 million people on their servers must be a lot of pressure when you come to think about it!
