if i buy a v1.0-1.1 motherboard with a modchip installed and switch it with my v1.0-1.1 motherboard, will the hard drive, modchip and motherboard still work fine?

what is carpet magic and where can you get it, and do i unlock my new hard drive or my old one? if i installed evox, wouldnt evox just partition the new drive?
