What company of DVD +r has the best media. Will theri be any problems playing the DVDs on a standalone. Can you play DVDs on a DVD player that doesn't sppecify DVD+r playablity.

There wont be any problem as long as the dvd player is compatible with player +rs... in my experiance more dvd players are compatible with -r than with +r though. Companys like Verbatim, Maxell and ritek all make good +r discs.

Can you play DVDs on a DVD player that doesn't sppecify DVD+r playablity. Depends entirely on the player. One of my DVD players is from 1998, so DVD+R wasn't around yet.

I used a verbatum DVD +RW on it played back fine on my x box except i had to push the menu button to get it to start.
