I'll be buying an Xbox in a week or two, and want to mod it when I get it, I know all the info is on the forum, but its pretty impossible to find something specific. Anyway, I just wanted to know, which modchip should I get, and from where? Also, whats the most reliable guide to backing up games, like with the names of what software, BIOS to get, etc. I have a Lite-On DVD-RW drive and like 4 Ethernet cards, so I think I'm good on the PC end. Any other advice is appreciated.
I would go for one of the executer chips as they are very reliable. Any new bios like the executer bios 4983.06, or the m7 bios should be ok. Then put a new dashboard on your xbox evo-x is very good,as for backing up your games you will have to ftp into your xbox i recommend flash fxp and transfer the game from xbox to pc then burn this game as an xiso to a dvd-r so that your xbox will recognize it. To connect xbox to pc just use a crossover cable as it connects direct to your xbox. And if you not to good at ftping then an easier way to keep backups of your games would be to buy a bigger hard drive and keep the games on that, this is much quicker and easier.
