I've got a few questions about media that I'm still not exactly sure on what things mean yet. When people say "branded" media, what does that mean, and what do I need to know about it and how can I tell if it is? Also, I have a BTC drive, 8x dual format, are the Ritek G04's compatible with this drive and is there anywhere I can buy them in a store or must I get them on the internet? Also, what about imation dvd-r's, are they junk as well?? Thanks again for all the info!

Well branded media is when you can see the company name right on the disc. Like a verbatim disc that says verbatim right on the top of the disc. These are recomended so that you know you are not getting fakes because there are many fakes of popular brands like verbatim, maxell, and ritek which are of very poor quality compared to the real deal.
