Apple has responded to a lawsuit brought against it by Motorola earlier this month with its own patent infringement lawsuits. The Cupertino-based iPhone-maker sued Motorola alleging the company's smartphone line-up and the operating system used by its handsets violate the company's intellectual property. These type of lawsuits are a tad ridiculous... Of course Motorola and the iPhone are going to have similar operating systems and touch-screen features..... they are, after all, essentially the same product. However, General Patent does an excellent job of defining what can and cannot be considered patent infringement:
