Hi,
i'm new here and have some questions to the swap magic trick.
1.I buy a slide card and not the swap magic cd's, is it possible to download the cd's anywhere??
2.I downloaded some boot cd's from swapmagicfix.com, must i have the swap magic cd's to, or are the boot cd's on the page enough????
3. I have a version 9 console. Would this trick work???
4. I read some threads and there it means that i first boot the swapmagic cd, then trick the ps2 with the slide card, then i boot the cdloader (swapmagicfix.com) and then the game, is it correct????
It would be cool if somebody can help me and answer these questions....... i know somebody would say, oh man what kind of silly questions.... but as i said i'm a newbie......
many thanks for any reply...............

1. You need the swap magic discs, downloading them won't work. WHen you download and burn a boot disc, the PS2 still knows that it's a burned copy, so it won't boot that disc.
2. You must also have the swap magic discs.
3. Yes it will work on a V9
4. That is correct: SwapMagic -> SlideCard -> CDLoader(if necessary for that game)
Hope that clears it up for you.

Hi,
thanks for your reply. I have now the slide card. But I don't know how to use the tool, I read an faq, but it seems to be difficult. Can somebody tell me in words that i understand how to use the tool......
I mean in the faq it sais that i must first put the slide card on the left side, go to the right side, where it hooks, and then open it. After that i must put the cd and close the ROM, after that, thats important, i must hook it, if i don't do it my ps2 will be damaged....... I understand the first thing, but the 2nd seems to be difficult....
Please can somebody help???????????
thanks for any help

you need to slide the peg inside the ps2 to the right to be able to open the tray manually. After you put in the backup, you need to slide the peg back to the left where it started.
V9 PS2, flip top, SMD, DVDLoader
Pioneer 107, ritek g05
DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Nero

you have to carefuly prize it off, you may snap the tabs but it will glue back easily when you need to.
you really should consider a flip top, they're only about £15.00 plus p+p.
