okay, so i got a new ati radeon 9600 xt all-in-wonder. i figure "woot!" so i get a vcr, hook it up to my card, and start recording a brand-new, out of the plastic copy of Lethal Weapon to backup on dvd. but, the bottom of the screen is fuzzy, like the tracking is screwed up. so i adjust the tracking. no dice. i try another tape. same thing. i get a new vcr, and try 4 more tapes, adjusting the tracking on all. i try recording with Pinnacle Studio 8, the ATI software, and Showbiz. same problem. and teh card records fine with regular tv. so i figure maybe the problem is with the wiring i connect the vcr to the card with. however, i have nothing to substitute at the moment. i'm using the cables, rca the are maybe?, that have 3 tips on each end (red, yellow, and white). i'm sure they are connected properly and tightly. any ideas on what the problem is? the tapes play fine on other vcrs hooked up to TVs. i'd like to correct this today, if possible. i have about 30 tapes to transfer. please help, if you can at all. any ideas are appreciated.

your vcr got s-video in ? you're using component or composite ? if the video input wires is the red, yellow and white, you don't need to change to s-video.

maybe try borrowing better quality cables.

else, you can crop the video if its widescreen.
