Well, here's the deal. I've tried everything that has been suggested and I still cant get the stupid thing to pass the TCP test. I used the tech guide which says to port forward my router, did that, I set the port triggering as well. Nothing. I went in and did the exceptions in my network connections. My fire wall is off, I enabled the upnp, I set the TCP and UDP in my network connections as well. Nothing. I dont know what else to do to get the program to pass the tcp test. I even disconnected the router and ran the cable straight to the compter and changed the ip address, nothing. If any tech savy individual can kindly walk me thorough this I would be most appreciative. Thanks in advance to any and all.
1.port forward is what you want 2.turn on the firewall, just make sure there are exceptions for either the program or the TCP and UDP ports being used. 3.keep upnp on, even if it doesent work with emule (at least at router and on windows box, it doesent always work for every program) 3a. make sure the SSDP discovery service is automatic and started in windows services list as well as UPNP device host in same area (right click computer and click "manage" then select services.
what router are you using?
**oopsie. i didnt realize this was that old of a post**
