Fritz Lanman, Microsoft's senior director of corporate strategy and acquisitions, has confirmed today that the company unsuccessfully bid $15 billion for social networking giant Facebook in 2007, being rejected outright. Are you sure i was under the impression bill some way had the marjority share... hence the famouse re-introduction of jobs on stage with the 40 ft gates standing behind him introducing.. i was the impression this was made possible by gates having a majority share.

That is a sweeping statement with no reasoning behind it. It will probably fade some but into obscurity? Why? You need to continually make large mistakes. I only see FB making small mistakes. Selling to M$ that would have been a mistake. They would trash it for sure.
