Mac App Store already cracked

article published on 28 December, 2010

Even though it hasn't even launched yet, Hackulous has announced today that they have already cracked the Apple Mac App Store. Hackulous is a community known for cracking Apple DRM and indexing cracked iOS applications. The community has long said they only do what they do because Apple does not offer trials or refunds on apps in the iOS App Store. We don?t want to release kickback as soon as the [Mac App] Store gets released. I have a few reasons for that...Most of the applications that go on the Mac App Store [in the first instance] will be decent, they?ll be pretty good. Apple isn?t going to put crap on the App Store as soon as it gets released. It?ll probably take months for the App Store to actually have a bunch of crappy applications and when we feel that it has a lot of crap in it, we?ll probably release Kickback.

So we?re not going to release Kickback until well after the store?s been established, well after developers have gotten their applications up. We don?t want to devalue applications and frustrate developers.
Bullcrap, there are many reasons for such a delay and that isn't one of them.

i bet this kickback doesn't work yet, or does work but not on everything.

the other reason could be they don't want crapple to defeat the kickback method so there waiting for the iOS store to be well established enough to not have crapple pull everything and update its DRM.

better hope Geosnot doesn't ruin your plans, he doesn't think and will probably rush something out similar to this just so he gets to say first. which would ruin your true reason for a delay.

Well yes that's definitely the biggest two reasons, but I think there's a bit of feeling towards devs as well. However, thats a minor reason lol !

Any how, well done to the crackers.. that's nuts ! Still, if you're using "i" anything in the first place you need to recheck your standards !!!

please, someone think of the hackers. that mentality would put them out of business. they couldn't feed there inner nerd with a large cheese pizza and coke. Please release more DRM so are IRC remains orderly and are AMT machines remain virgins untouched by weird code that makes them spit out 20's.
