Definitely TDK. I think they have a stack of 100 for $99.00.

Just got back from bestbuy with 2 50pack of verbatum.. usually $80 for 50 but right now they have a $40 instant rebate.. So I bought 100 for $80 I personally haven't ever had any problems with verbatum.. with my Sony 530 external.

Sometimes I think it has a lot to do with the burner. I read somewhere on some website TDKs weren't very good. I've burned 100 of them and not one coaster. So far with the Verbatim, 25 and no coaster yet. Heck, even if I did have a coaster or two, at 80cents apiece wouldn't hurt too bad. Besides ya need a coaster for the coffee table :)

I use TDK media with my TDK 880n w/b. COSTCO has the TDK DVD-/+R 4x (25 pack) for $30. With the coupon book (from July 26 through August 1) you can buy one (DVD-/+) and get one free.

Regarding Verbatim, make sure you're getting the Metal AZO media.

If you're limited to the big box electronics stores I'd suggest looking for Maxell or the above mentioned Verbatim Metal AZO.

You should definently go with maxell. Thats what i always buy if i get my discs locally. I usually buy them at future shop since they go on sale a lot. Have never had any problems with them and they feel so much more durable then other media. The edges never have any excess glue and are always very smooth

I have been using the TDK 4X DVD+r for quite a while with great results. I keep an eye for when they have the 100 for $99 and stock up. I am two liteon burners
(411 and 451) and NEC 2510 and all three burn and playback great.
