Hi just started using dvd decripter and dvd shrink complete novice, after burning to hard drive using dvd shrink I keep getting a message saying invalid or unsupported file format when I try to burn to disk any help would be appriciated. The other thing I noticed is that in dvd decripter they are 3 yellow tringles showing in the log saying W 03:04:13 Drive C: (FAT32) does not support files > 4 GB

Hi,

DVD Decrypter will only burn ISO files which are basically one big huge image of the disc. The problem you're running into is that it appears your computer is using FAT32 file system which caps file sizes to 4GB, unfortunately almost all movies are over that size so making an ISO of a DVD on a FAT32 system can't be done.

You've basically two choices:

1) If you have other burning software you can use Decrypter or Shrink in File mode which breaks up the disc into smaller files that will work with your FAT32 system and then burn the VIDEO_TS folder to disc using software such as Nero or RecordNow.

2) You can convert your file system from FAT32 to NTFS which can handle ISO files. If you choose this method it would be best to back everything up before doing so! The conversion process has been covered here before so if you do a site search for "fat to ntfs" it should turn them up :)
