I have just bought this camera and want to grab my movies from DV into my PC. However:

a) there appears to be no firewire cable supplied; what do I need? simple DV OUT to firewire connection?
b) what s/w shoudl I use? I am running Win2k at the mo...is it best to change to WinXP?
c) is there anything else I should know?
