you only need 1 NIC card, if you want to go online with broadband at the same time just buy a router and 2 straight ethernet cables. You will also need a FTP program, most people use flashfxp
http://www.flashfxp.com
You are reading a mindless signature, please stop reading it now it is mindless, one can only presume you are mindless since you are still reading this mindless signature, Oh my god get a life you mindless person, whats the matter with you, dont you have a girlfreind? mindless mindless mindless

Yeah that stuff was pretty confusing for me at first too, but this article explains everything you need to know about connecting your Xbox to your PC.
http://evox.xboxhackz.net/evox/guides/body_basic_networking.html
If this doesn't cover it, check out Xbox-Scene (www.xbox-scene.com) for a complete list of tutorials available on this subject. They should have something to answer your question.

I had both my PC and XBOX plugged into my router and then in the Internet Explorer adress bad I typed
ftp://xbox:xbox@192.168.1.101
try it for your xbox except change the IP to your XBOX's IP, I never had any luck with the flash fxp connect your xbox to your PC thing.
FYI--changed my xbox's password

I finally got my PC to FTP. I'm using a wireless PCI card in my computer and it's picking up a faint 11Mbps wireless signal. I have a wireless M$ broadband Basestation 54Mbs with a ethernet cable going to my Xbox.
Having Slayers 2.5 installed, the main screen shows an IP address. I type this into my FlashFXP to connect. Firewalls such as Zone Alarm must be turned off. To connect:
Server or URL : Your IP address of the Xbox
User Name : Xbox
Password : Xbox ( shows up as ****)
Hit connect. If the Xbox does not show up on the right side of the screen immediately, something is wrong.
