First off I have a Apex AD 600A dvd player and a Pioneer Dvr-104 writer. I have made some backup of my DVD'S to play on Apex. My Apex plays dvd-r & dvd-rw along with the normal disc. All my backups I made pause for about 1 to 2 seconds thrw out the disc, maybe 10 to 15 times. My question is it my Apex or my dvd-r media. My media is standard grade GP silver that I got from www.cd-dvd-supplies.com

What should I do get another DVD player or a another kind of DVD-R. The backup play on my PC. I have a backup that is on a apple DVD-R that plays without any problem. Not made with my Pioneer. Last I used DVD Decrypter write all of the problem DVD-R.

I have the same set-up, apex 600A, pioneer dvr104, and have also used dvd decrypter with success using optodisc dvd-r media. I'm not sure which media you are using, so I do not know if that is your problem.

Have you updated your Apex player?
I had to update the firmware in the Apex for the dvd-r discs to play. This MAY be a problem for you.

my parents have an apex and it skips continually on every store bought dvd. a friend at walmart says that almost every apex player they sell gets returned
