i have downloaded WinMpg converter (i have the full registered version) but whenever i try to convert a .mov file the program just crashes, are there any other programs out there that i can use or is there a way to fix WinMpg converter so i can use that?

The easiest way would prolly be to use http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/qtreader_for_tmpgenc.cfm in conjunction with TMPGEnc and encode it to (S)VCD. :)
