HP, along with the TouchPad tablet, also unveiled two new WebOS-based smartphones today, the Pre 3 and the Veer (which will replace the Pixi).

Too late on the Pre3 announcement. Was a loyal Palm fan for years, but after HP bought Palm and then wouldn't commit to supporting smartphones despite repeated requests for information, I switched to the iPhone 4, and sold off all my Palm items for pennies on the dollar (bad move, I guess). It would take a free phone (the Pre3), free touchstone, and free upgrade on all apps I had to get me to even consider switching back.

just sell the iphone(is always a tool looking for one)... FREE stuff!
I still have a pre and love it. I will certainly be buying one of these for my wife and I as well as the iPad clone. WebOS is amazing and the linux kernal is super stable. Will this release validate the 1 billion dollars HP spent for webOS and palm, no. But it certainly can't hurt HP by having an amazing mobile OS supported by the likes of Adobe, Epic Games, Sprint, and Verizon.
