DVD Burns revert back to root page after a few chapters

For some reason the dvd's i burn all revert back to the root page (index) after 10-12 chapters. I.E i can watch 60-70% of a movie then it fails. cant fast foreward nor jump chapters. im using clonedvd and anydvd 3.6.1.1 can anyone help with this problem . i had my virus (norton) protector turned off, and nothing running in the background. im using a liteone dvd rw/and a liteone dvd rom on a p3 800 with xp running.. Any help would be appreciated im running out of disks :(
