Problem with tmpgencDVD

I get error messages when adding a file to tmpgencDVD Author.

I have cartoons that were captured from tapes recorded from the cartoon channel. These are processed using ADVC 100 and Adobe Premiere 6.5. The AVI file is converted to mpeg1 with tmpgenc Plus 2.5.

When I add file in the DVD Author, I get either an error "23.986" frame rate cannot be a DVD file or the header is incorrect.

Only a few files are able to be converted.

What I don't understand is that both applications are by the same developer. I use the default settings, why are they incorrect?
