Nintendo has announced today that its 3DS handheld will soon receive Netflix streaming support. President Reggie Fils-Aime says support is coming during the summer, and the handheld launches in the U.S. on March 27th. Why would I want to watch a movie/film on any 3 inch hand held device? If I was chained to a cellar wall by some mad radical nutter then I would like one.

Yeah true maybe not you and me but think about how many kids this will probably keep busy instead of screaming or going crazy while driving or waiting somewhere with their parents.

Er, there's WiFi in the cars now? Even if you use the cellphone data plan, is it wise to use it on video streaming? Why can't the kids just play the 3DS, lol.

I guess Netflix on the 3DS is a bonus feature, but hardly a selling point.
