Help!!!!!!!!!! can't rip mtv's punk'd volume # 1

I thought I was getting punk'd, but....
I ripped vol # 2 no problem.
DVD X copy gold and express,123 COPY DVD, DVD Shrink, and DVD Decrypter all wouldnt work.
I starts to back up then gives a error message, something about a missing file, or cant read file, or file read error. It depends which software.
Is there another way to do this??

I had the same problem , try disabling your antivirus and if you have anything from Roxio Easy CD Creator running , turn it off to espesially their drag to disc feature , it screws up the DVD X Copy 321 process . I've copied many movies 85 percent come out fine but their is always that 1 movie where the PC locks up and then I have to start over or just forget about doing that movie . I hope that I have been of some help .

here is some other info that I received that helped me out .
Windows Updates
Every version of windows requires updates. To be sure your system is completely up to date go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
If you are using Windows XP please visit http://www.microsoft.com/WindowsXP/sp1/default.asp to download service pack 1.
If you are using Windows 2000 please visit http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/servicepacks/
Download, and install Direct X 9 http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/downloads
ASPI Layer Update
Please update your ASPI software by installing the software at this link:
http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/driverdetail.html?sess=no&language=English+US&cat=/Product/ASPI-4.70&filekey=aspi_471a2.exe
Follow the instructions carefully, and make sure to reboot afterwards.
Caution:
Installation Instruction:
This file extracts by default to the c:\adaptec\ directory. If you have changed this directory, please note the directory you have chosen. For Windows 98, NT 4.0, ME and 2000, use the enclosed ASPIINST.EXE file to install the ASPI layer. For Windows XP, select Start - Run from the menu, and then the Browse button. Locate the INSTALL.BAT file in the directory the files extracted to and select the OPEN button. In the command box, add a space and either XP32 for Pentium I/II/III/IV processors or XP64 for Itanium processors. The command should look like: c:\adaptec\aspi\install.bat XP32 or c:\adaptec\aspi\install.bat XP64. Then select the OK button to run the XP installer.
Blacklist
The following programs can cause problems while using our software. Your situation sounds like one of these are installed:
1. B's Clip: This package will load a packet-writing software that will constantly talk to your CD/DVD writer, and can cause a number of issues while trying to write a disc. Disabling this software is not enough, as a portion of this package is always running after you start windows. You will need to uninstall it in Add/Remove programs, then reboot to remove it. For more information, visit the B's website at http://www.bhacorp.com.
2. Direct CD or Drag to Disk: These are applications from Easy CD Creator from Roxio. This package will load a packet-writing software that will constantly talk to your CD/DVD writer, and can cause a number of issues while trying to write a disc. Disabling this software is not enough, as a portion of this package is always running after you start windows. To remove them you need to do to Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel. There you can select Easy CD Creator to change, not remove. Then you must click next until it gives you the option to modify. Then either Direct CD or Drag to Disk should be selected and changed to "make this option not available". Then click next and while the program may look like it is installing, it is removing those options. 3. GoBack: backup software that constantly runs in the background (Terminate and Stay Ready) this needs not only to be turned off, but disabled. Unfortunately, this may cause some restore points to vanish, but it will free up a lot of hard drive space. 4. DLA: Also HP-DLA, Veritas DLA, and others. DLA stands for Disk Letter Assignment. This package will load a packet-writing software that will constantly talk to your CD/DVD writer, and can cause a number of issues while trying to write a disc. Disabling this software is not enough, as a portion of this package is always running after you start windows. You will need to uninstall it in Add/Remove programs, then reboot to remove it.
5. InCD: This is packet writing software that comes bundled with Ahead Nero Burning Rom. This package will load a packet-writing software that will constantly talk to your CD/DVD writer, and can cause a number of issues while trying to write a disc. Disabling this software is not enough, as a portion of this package is always running after you start windows. You will need to uninstall it in Add/Remove programs, then reboot to remove it. 6. Interactual Player and PC Friendly Player: These programs are DVD software viewers that often come on DVD movie discs, and will try to install themselves everytime you watch a movie on your computer. Please make sure to NOT let these install. Both programs interfere with all 321 Studios software and should be un-installed from Add or Remove programs in control panel when found. In some cases, you will need to uninstall and reinstall our software to restore functionality after removing one of these. 7. McAfee Anti-Virus: This is anti-virus software that when running, can cause errors. It needs to be disabled by right clicking on the icon in the lower right side of the task bar. The 321 Studios software then needs to be restarted. Whenever you are using our software, McAfee needs to be disabled to ensure unrestricted access to your drive. 8. Norton Anti-Virus: This is anti-virus software that when running, can cause errors. It needs to be disabled by right clicking on the icon in the lower right side of the task bar and the automatic updates should be disabled. The 321 Studios software then needs to be restarted. Spyware and Adware - some programs can install other software that can be damaging to your Operating System. Please scan for these programs with a Spyware utility. We recommend Ad-Aware, available freely at www.lavasoftusa.com
If you perform any of these changes, you may need to uninstall our software, then re-install to fix any damage left. If you find some of these packages, please shut down and reboot twice to ensure that the last pieces of the conflicting software are completely removed.

This is starting to really piss me off now , I did and checked everything
you said and I still can not even burn a movie . Personally I think that you
are full of it about this DVD X Copy being able to copy anything . I have
more luck burning downloaded files to dvd using Roxios Easy CD Creator . I
even tried using your DVD X Copy Xpress . It reads it , big deal because
then all it does is say insert disk , well I inserted DVD/R disks two
different formats I inserted DVD/RW disks two different formats and all it
does is sit there doing nothing , and the start button never even lights up
. You know I have a friend with a large web business and I think that I am
going to pay him to advertise not to buy your program because it does not
work and that it is nothing but a scam to get peoples money . I begged you
to help me , I even wasted more monet trying to order two more DVD X Copy
upgrades , 1 for DVD X COPY Platinum and another for DVD X Copy Xpress and
it still; does the same exact crap . You think that because its been almost
four months since I bought this crap that you would at least email me a
number where I can call someone on the phone that might want to help someone
out . I am asking you to prove me wrong ,( right ) , and help me with this
PLEASE , PLEASE HELP ME OUT . I do not want to seem like an ass but ive
tried , I purchased 5 programs from you 2 DVD X COPY programs 1 DVD X Copy
Plus and two upgrades 1 for the platinum version and 1 for the Xpress
version so do you think that you can help me out like you adds say you will
, ( right ) , do . I will email you a copy of this 5 times a day until
someone that cares will help me . And I will email this 5 times a day every

Yes it finally did . But every once in a while one movie still will give you a fit . But when that happens try doing what I did . I got a ADS Instant DVD from tigerdirect.com , it lets me download VHS movies to the PC , then I take a program called Easy Video Splitter and split the movie and then use either Nero and put it to VCD or DVD , or you can also use Roxio Easy CD Creator 6 . I prefer Nero 5.5 . I hope that this helps you out , I know when I got started encoding and problems squeezing mpeg 4 etc etc . Just burn baby burn .
