hi everyone, im new to the forum and fairly new to dvd ripping. Im using smartripper and copied a few movies to harddrive with it. I opened smartripper and selected the longest section (the movie, selected the path and decided to leave all the subtitle and audio options selected. After I ripped the movies, I found I could only hear the german audio and now I have now way of selecting the other audio options from within my windvd or power dvd. If this question has been answered in another post then I apologise.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. Was it a German DVD?
2. After you ripped the VOBs, when you encoded it, did you make sure to select english (or whatever language)?
3. If you encoded the German audio, there isnt really a simple way of undoing that (short of ripping the audio and muxing it in) than to re-rip with English

hi,

ive havent encoded the VOB files yet. Ive used "ifoedit" to try and recreate the ifo files / recreate the dvd structure, and through IFOEdit I can see that The VOB files have got all three audio streams available (6channel english and german and 2channel commentary). Thing is that I can listen to any audio track through IFOEdit, but only listen to the german track through my standalone dvd software (windvd).

I need to know how I can recreate the dvd structure in roder for the audio selections to be available in the dvd player or any other means by which i can change the default audio stream to english or delete the other audio streams completely. thanks in advance
