Microsoft-led effort to decapitate Rustock botnet significantly reduces global spam volume. In a detailed report from Symantec's MessageLabs, it emerges that global spam volumes dropped by one-third in the days following the action taken against the Rustock botnet. Strange, a couple days after reading the spam bot was taken down my spam went up from an average of 5 spam messages per day to about 40+ now.
