Bloomberg is reporting that Amazon is joining a list of other tech firms in plotting a mobile payments service. Based on near-field communication (NFC) technology, the demand for services that allow payments to be made at brick and mortar stores using a smartphone could be considerable. I like this idea, seems like a step in the right direction. With that said why the hell would Apple sue for the use of the word "app store". Isn't the store that Amazon is setting up for Android users a store that allows them to sell APPlications for their phones/tablets? What do they want Amazon to call it, the Rainbow store??? Simply stupid move by Apple and I own a 3gs.
