getting "license aqquisition" message when i am trying to play a file?

Everytime I try and open up something (video file) I have DL from kazaalite this message pops open thru windows media player. Then after a moment it says to click play to see the file but after I hit play nothing happens. I dont know why this started because Ihave not changed anything in media player at all. Is there some kind of setting i can change to correct this? I like the way it used to be. It would play anything. These are not protected files either. Just your typical porn stuff and music files and such. Can anyone help? I have tried to dl media player 9 seeing if that would help and it didnt.
