if i buy a hard drive with evox already installed and put it into my xbox, do i have to install a modchip to run evox and 3rd party apps?

yes. You can't just put in a new hard drive and it'll work. There are alot of different factors. btw, Where are you getting this drive from???

not true, if it has a fonts exploit and PBL. you wouldnt need a modchip
