Im wondering which modchip out there is the absolute best, disreguarding the difficulty to install. I want to play bought games, play backed up games, and backed up dvds with as much ease as possible.

ASRock 890GX PRO 3, AMD Phenom II X2 555 BE, 8GB GSkill Sniper DDR3 1333,
Main HDD: WD Raptor 74GB 10,000rpm, Storage HDD: 1TB WD Caviar Black,
Lite-On iHAS124-04 --> LT Burner Max FW,
Samsung BX2331 23" LED Widescreen LCD,
Xbox 360 Premium 20GB --> Hitachi v0078fk --> LT+2.0

Every body has different opinion's on this subject, I prefer magicV, cause it's simple, just read up on what type of chipp you want, they all have differnt features.

Go for the DMS3. I put this chip in many a PS2 and I swear by this chip.
Its extremely reliable and the installtion isnt any harder than the Magic V.
Plus you can upgrade it via CD-R :)

Intel Pentium 4 1.6A overclocked to 2.13
512 megs of DDRAM
HP DVD 300i burner
V9 (50001) PS2
DMS3 V9

You still have your PS2? If so would you like to sell it if it is still chipped up? Because it is such a hassle for me, I dont know what chip to get. I went to the Flea Market and asked about them chipping my ps2 and they said 130 which is an outrageous price in my head. So I was just wonderin if you wanted to sell yours if you still have it.

130 bucks to install the chip ? That is crazy.. Usually it's about half that price. around 60 bucks.. I havent really thought about selling it. What version of PS2 do you have at the moment?

If someone were to "give" you a chip would you be capable of installing it?

Yea.
I look at the manuals all the time so that shouldn't be a big deal. And if i mess it up i'll just mess around with my brothers. ;\

I would go for the dms3 as it is a very reliable chip and it can also be updated so it is future proof. It is a bit on the dearer side compared to other modchips but as i say it can be updated.

-Xbox v1.0, X-ecuter2 lite, EVO-X DASHBOARD,
-PS2 V4(gap), PS2 V5, duo2
-BARTON 3200+, wInDoWs XP(sp2),

The matrix infinity is the best in my oppinion but I don't have one just going by what I have heard from the DMS3 and the Matrix Infinity.These two are pretty much the best chips out of today for the PS2.I am waiting to see if there is a new one coming out before I even attempt to install one or get someone to.I pretty much have all the tools to do a install though.

I didn't charge anything.. You aren't allowed to advertise selling stuff here .. I was going to give him a chip. I had a extra I didn't need and was being nice.. I have shipped this thing twice already once to the wrong address and the second time for some reason they said the address didn't exist.. Not sure.. anyways..I spent enough money of my own trying to give this thing away. I am just going to keep it..

Matt
