No mater what I use to read the DVD to the hard drive with,(Advanced mode, Simple mode, or Rescue)as soon as I put a blank DVD in and click start it skips to the finalizing stage without writing it. Does anyone no why? I'm using (DVDxcopy platinum 4.0.3.8).

try updating your aspi layer... If that doesn't work try a different pattin-couffin.

Are you ending up with a coaster? What type of burner and what media are you using?

Are these two burners on the same IDE cable? Which is master which is slave?

nec is the drive and tdk is the media.the burner is the slave and it is set on cable select.

What is set as master on that cable? If a dvd-rom... switch and make dvd-rom(slave) and burner(master). Try this if this doesn't fix, try updating your aspi layer. ForceASPI.
