Gartner has followed in the footsteps of other research firms by claiming that Windows Phone 7 will become a major player in the smartphone market by 2015, taking as much as 19.5 share and surpassing RIM and Apple. I think that's uncertain, with so many variables unknown, but still possible. This study is based upon actual growth of the mobile platforms. I never tried a Windows Phone myself, but it's a fact that many people like them. Besides, both Nokia and Microsoft have their fanboys too.
