I have been trying to rip a DVD to my PC simply to play it back on the PC to save battery power of my laptop. I have ripp'ed with the different options of DVDecrypter, but the files won't play back. Are there other steps to take the output of DVDecrypter to make them play on the PC?
The files from Decrytper should work whether in File or ISO.
What software are you using to view the movie? Almost all free players, including WMP, do not have the required codec to play back DVDs. Something like PowerDVD or WinDVD will do the trick though :)

I have WinDVD 4 and Interactual player. Neither seems to be able to play the IFO version. With WinDVD, when I try to open the IFO file, it says no valid disc found.
For the sake of clarity, when you say IFO do you mean ISO?
After ripping with Decrypter you will have either an ISO image (one big 4+ GB file) or a VIDEO_TS folder containing VOB, BUP and IFO files.
I'm not familiar with WinDVD, but I can use PowerDVD to open ISO or VIDEO_TS. For playing ISO I just point it to the ISO and for playing VIDEO_TS I just point it to the folder (not the contents inside).
