I would give DVDshrink a try.. You are most likely using a cheap brand of media that is causeing your skips and stutters near the end of the movie. Try a good brand of DVD media..

Make sure your ide setting are set to DMA. Make sure your burner is the master drive on it's cable. Try updating your aspi layer. ForceASPI

ok guys i thank those of you who did respond and give advise, i finally got it to work, i used anydvd to decrypt it, dvd shink to shrink it down then Nero to burn it. worked like a charm, but i did notice that the first shrink i had the file alittle too big it was bigger then 4.37 so i remembered from reading up on here something about keeping it less then that so i set it at 4.20 and no problems at all, picture quality was just as good as original.thank you guys again for your help and it is nice to know there are people around to help out others...

It won't hurt to run Anydvd behind Shrink, but its not necessary in most cases. Shrink will decrypt 95% of the movies out there without any help. Just a little info for your notes.

Good to know thank you jerry. the main reason i figured to use anydvd was i was trying to copy miracle and shrink itself wouldn't do it, i had to use dvd decryptor and that just takes too much time compared to anydvd which is automatic.

I have been having the same problem. I even tried to play it from the hard drive and the same problem happened, right around 1:15 it froze up.

The only thing I can think of is the original is possibly damaged? There really is no reason for that to happen from the hard drive.
