Hi,

I am having trouble with InCD

I have Windows XP home, Nero 5 and InCD

When I try to save files to formatted CD-RW I get the following message:

InCD Warning
Because of problems writting to this disk it has been marked read-only to protect existing data. The defect management feature of the drive is unable to recover from defects on this disc

Can someone please help I am really struggling here

Many thanks
Nick.

Tried formatting the CD (if its just that one disc)? Or reinstalling/getting rid of InCD (if its all ur discs)?

I have formatted the disc and it's happening on all the discs I try.
I have uninstalled Nero and InCD and reinstalled them.
I am looking for a good packet writing software instead of InCD can you recomend some?

Quite often , if you do a FULL ERASE first then a FULL format , you will find that this will clear up this problem.

Cd-RW media if used and re-used do develop this idiosyncrasy -- a good erase often puts them back in working order ~~~
