ok, fingers crossed here..I hope I am in the right forum and won't be flamed! I have recently been enlightened that wma files are smaller (and will play on my portable mp3 player) and I have been converting all my mp3s to wma's. However, I can't seem to find a way to search for or serve wma files on winmx. Does anyone know a way to do this, or know of a program thats SAFE that WILL? I have the latest version of Winmx, 3.31. If anyone can help, I'd be absolutely thrilled..!

I'm not positive about this Gabby, but I think I might have a solution of sorts for you. With WinMX open, go to the tab that says "Shared Files"; it's in between "Networks" and "Chat". In there, go to another tab, "Shared File Types". I think that wma is not listed, but there's a box at the bottom to add extensions of your own choosing. I personally added wmv, because it wasn't listed among the rest of the video formats. You can add as many additional extensions as you want; just separate each one with a comma.
