Sorry if this post is not acceptable, But I did see a post on IRC, so I figured it was alright. Is there anyway that I can get a faster download speed using IRC. I know it depends on my conection speed and the connection speed of the person that I'm sharing with, but I thought maybe I can do something on my end to help speed downloads up. BTW I'm using Roadrunner.

XP Home, 1.7ghz, 256MB memory

Also, Does anyone know where I can get a list of any good MIRC and IRC Server addresses.

you really cant speed up the connection transfer speed from IRC; as since you cant do anything to affect whats happening to the bot/server your dling from. said bot coucld have at the time you are dling from it as many as 100 other transfers going on at the same time thus speed will vary ie jump from very high to very low or just die all together. Its the nature of the beast Im afraid.

jj636, picking out specific IRC networks/servers is a hassle, its easier to use a general database of IRC networks such as IRCspy.com, packetnews.com xgoogle.com. there you can search for whatever your little heart desires and the database will list all the networks w/ the channels hosting searched for item. IRCspy and packetnews also have a directory of IRC networks at least the ones that bother letting themselfs be listed on those sites.
