Samsung has made it official, Android 2.3 Gingerbread is headed to the Galaxy S, Galaxy Ace/Gio/Fit/Mini and the Galaxy Tab. Samsung Galaxy S (Captivate) will never see the official release. AT&T will make sure of that.

Meh, it isn't really much better...had it on my droid for a while now, and I am thinking of going back to Froyo because the custom interfaces are more polished and it uses the battery less. The only advantage is Netflix...and you need to be rooted to get that, and if you are rooted, you can already get 2.3 anyway.
