I have an mpg that at the 18:00min or so mark there's a jerk in the framerate so that by the end of the video the audio is out of sync by about 2sec.
What I want to do try to reencode it again to mpg ( which may or may not fix it) or reencode it as avi and bump up the fps a bit.
The problem is when I demultiplex the sound, at that 18min mark the sound is gone and I'm left with 30min of dead air. I've tried both tmpgenc and virtualdub and get the same results.
How can I fix this?
i think the file may be corrupted, like an unfinished mpeg file, (header is not flly written),
this is for the audio. you could trim it with an audio editor.

Yes you're beat, it's difficult & improbable to fix.
In theory you could split file right where glitch loses synch, then re-time second portion, then re-join, but ?
Cannot repair this with framerate tweak or re-encode.
